The ATP released the weekly ranking update a day early on Sunday (30th). The main Brazilian highlight is the leap by junior Guto Miguel.

After reaching the Kingston Challenger semifinal, the 17-year-old from Goiás rose 190 positions to 660th. Guto heads to the US Open, where he will be the favorite in the junior tournament.

Another Brazilian to register progress and a career mark was Paulo Saraiva. The 26-year-old from Brasília reached his career-best singles ranking at 468th.

Out of action due to an abdominal injury, João Fonseca remained in 26th position. The Rio native faces little risk of leaving the top 30 during the US Open.

Gustavo Heide (128th) and Thiago Wild (198th) also maintained their positions after failing to advance in US Open qualifying.

Other Brazilians in the national top 10 recorded drops: Matheus Pucinelli fell to 260th (-6), Thiago Monteiro to 280th (-5), João Lucas Reis to 282nd (-4), Pedro Boscardin to 290th (-6), Igor Marcondes to 310th (-4), Eduardo Ribeiro to 373rd (-9), and Mateus Alves to 418th (-5).
